Timeline

The timeline block renders an ordered list of dated events, each with a date label, title, and body. Use it for company history ("our journey"), product changelogs, or any chronological narrative.

Fields

Field Description Required?
heading Section heading shown above the timeline. Placeholder example: "Our journey". No
date (per event) Date label, e.g. "2024". Free text, not a date picker, so any format is accepted. No
title (per event) Event title. No
body (per event) Event description. Accepts raw HTML. No

Events are added and removed with the "Add event" button, and are rendered in the order they appear in the editor (there's no automatic sorting by date).

HTML safety

The section heading, and each event's date and title, are escaped and rendered as plain text. Each event's body is rendered without escaping, so it accepts raw HTML, letting you add links or formatted text inside an event's description.

This block also supports the standard appearance controls: background color, border, text color, padding, margin.

Using it

{{block:company-history}}

Typically placed on an "About" or "History" page, or in a product-updates/changelog post.

Example

A company-history timeline with three milestones:

date title body
2019 Founded Started as a two-person team working out of a shared office in Austin.
2021 Series A Raised $8M led by <a href="https://example-vc.com">Example Ventures</a> to expand the engineering team.
2024 10,000 customers Crossed 10,000 paying customers across 40 countries.

Section heading: "Our journey". Because events render in editor order and aren't auto-sorted, list them chronologically yourself; reordering later means re-entering them in the new order.
