Table

The table block renders a plain HTML data table built from a set of column headers and rows. Use it for structured tabular data, like a feature comparison, spec sheet, or data summary, that doesn't fit the pricing table block's tier-based layout.

Fields

Field Description Required?
heading Table caption shown above the table. Placeholder example: "Pricing comparison". No
Headers One text field per column. Columns are added and removed with the "Add header" button; removing a header also removes that column's cells from every row. No
Rows One row of cells per row, matching the current number of headers. Rows are added and removed with the "Add row" button. No

HTML safety

heading, each header, and each cell are all escaped and rendered as plain text. All fields on this block are escaped as plain text; there is no raw-HTML field here. If you need a table cell with a link or other formatting, this block can't do it; consider the grid block instead, which allows raw HTML per cell.

This block also supports the standard appearance controls: background color, padding, margin (it does not have separate text color or border controls).

Using it

{{block:spec-comparison-table}}

Typically placed inside an article or product page wherever a data table is the clearest way to present the information, such as a comparison of specs across product versions.

Example

A spec-comparison table for two product tiers:

heading value
Table caption Spec comparison
Headers Spec, Standard, Pro
Row 1 Max users, 10, Unlimited
Row 2 Storage, 10GB, 1TB
Row 3 API access, No, Yes

Adding a fourth header (say, "Enterprise") automatically adds a matching blank cell to every existing row, so the editor only has to fill in the new column's three cell values rather than rebuilding the table.
